Before you start
"Free your River" provides you a lot of material for demanding river projects. However, please don´t misunderstand this as an obligation to use all – it is an offer, and it is up to you to choose, which tools are most suitable for your students, school, and community. E.g. our checklist contains several chapters related to different aspects of the quality of a river. We suggest you to get a multi-perspectivic view on your river, but we do not demand you to investigate all the aspects.
For your planning, we would like to suggest the following documents:
- Under Background Information > Methodology we describe our idea of river projects from an instructional and management viewpoints.
- Under Get active! you can take a look at the documents that will support your (your students) action: The Checklist for the investigation of the river, the Action kit and the web methods for online-cooperation.
