Discover the European dimension!

We advise you to avoid working on your river project on your own. You should cooperate with other schools in your country or in other European countries because for the following reasons:

Rivers are like veins, they traverse the countryside and they connect people. Schools simultaneously working on the same river can take advantage of the opportunity to integrate locally acquired knowlegde into a regional or European context.

Environmental protection is embedded in the complex structure of human civilisation. That’s why simple solutions often don’t exist. When students cooperate, they can experience that problems may be seen from different viewpoints and solved on different ways.

Last but not least, based upon our experience, we are sure that cooperation will motivate and inspire your students enormously, especially international cooperation.

For the online cooperation, we offer to you the following:

• Under Books of the Rivers you can search in the books of other groups – this might help you to identify groups, which you would like to come in contact with.
• Inside your own book (Books of the Rivers > my book) you can make contact to other groups. You can create common workspace (especially Chat and Forum). For that you must be a registered member of"Free your River".
• On the Notice Board, you can publish your desire for cooperation or search in the announcements of other groups.
• Under Get active! > web methods you find a small collection of methods, which should help you to arrange the online cooperation in a fruitful manner.
