In May 2003, WWF Austria started to look for partners for a project about natural rivers.
The first meeting of the future partners took place in Innsbruck in September 2003. Afterwards the partners submitted the pre-proposal for the Minerva project “Free Your River” to the European Union.
In January 2004, the partnership was invited to submit the full proposal by March 1st.
On July 15^th, the Commission confirmed the approval of the Free Your River project proposal.
In November 2004, the work for the project started with the kick off meeting in Innsbruck. Since then, all partners worked on the Website and its content.
