Concrete Ideas

  • Develop a water contract: a multi-generational document that will pressure (petition) your local water authorities to treat your drinking water respectfully and your rivers and streams carefully. We have prepared a sample contract for you.
     
  • Host an information booth where you can call peoples´attention to a specific water topic such as water use, pollution, habitat issues, etc. 
     
  • Write a petition about an important water-related issue and collect signatures and deliver it to the appropriate government officials. The sample signature sheet may be a useful help.
     
  • Coordinate a  local demonstration on what should be changed about your river or stream and what you like about it.
     
  • Produce a street theatre performance where you can point out the weaknesses of your municipality’s water politics.
