A Windows blog post reports that Windows Copilot is the first PC platform to provide central AI assistance for users. It can access information from Bing Chat, Bing search data, and context across Windows 11 apps. The Verge claims that Copilot can also make a summary of content and can create AI text and images.

Third – Party AI Plugins

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 Copilot will soon support third – party plugins. Microsoft recently sent out a survey to developers. The survey title is “Windows Copilot Plugins: Your Opinion Matters,” and it aims to get developers’ views. In this survey, the company confirms that the Windows 11 Copilot feature will soon support third-party plug-ins. Microsoft will adopt the same open plugin standard as OpenAI to enable interoperability across ChatGPT, the M365 Copilot, and Microsoft’s Bing AI assistant. It will also support Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and security products. The company confirms this with the survey which is now in the public.

Also, the company plans to chat with tech experts via a 30 minutes Teams call. However, it did not reveal the experts that it will chat with or when the chat will take place. Nevertheless, the company said that it hopes to get decent feedback on the plugin’s link with Windows Copilot.
