Gualeguay, Entre Ríos. December 18, 2025. Internet Services SA, one of the leading broadband Internet service providers in the coastal region, announced the start of its operations in the city of Gualeguay and the availability of its high-speed internet and HD TV services. With the opening of its commercial offices in the city and the completion of the first stage of the rollout of a new high-capacity fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network that over the next 90 days will cover 98% of households, the nationally owned company is taking a new step in its regional expansion plan with new investments in digital infrastructure.

The new state-of-the-art FTTH network that Internet Services SA is deploying in Gualeguay, with a substantial investment, aims to reach the different neighborhoods of the city with direct fiber optics and symmetric connections between 300 and 800 MB, with the capacity to provide services to around 19,000 households, guaranteeing ultra-high speed for teleworking, education, telehealth, HD TV and 4K entertainment.

Investment, provincial boost and rapid deployment

With an investment of USD 1.5 million (mn), this initiative by Internet Services SA becomes the first telecommunications project that will receive a gross income tax exemption for 15 years, within the framework of the promotion of the Regime for Incentives for New Investments (RINI) in the province of Entre Ríos. RINI is an initiative of the Provincial Executive created this year to attract capital and reactivate production through tax exemptions, fiscal stability, and tax and administrative benefits for those who install or expand productive units in the province. It was approved by the provincial Legislature within the framework of Entre Ríos’ adherence to the Regime of Incentives for Large Investments (RIGI), through Law No. 11.162 and its Regulatory Decree No. 4.138. Recently, Decree No. 2818 extended the scope of RINI to new activities, including the construction of fiber-optic connectivity networks.

At the time of the inauguration of the local office and the launch of commercial service in Gualeguay, the deployment of the FTTH network already reaches 150 blocks of Sectors 1 and 2 and the neighborhoods Parque, Defensa, Barrio 25, Plan Evita, 150 Viviendas and Tiro Federal, within the area bounded by San Antonio Street – Av de la Soberania – Av. Pte Peron – Tratado del Pilar. During the month of December, the company will complete the first two stages of the deployment, covering 50% of the homes in the city, and by the end of February will complete the rest of the rollout, with close to 15,000 homes passed, encompassing the 4 sectors and all their adjacent neighborhoods, in the grid bounded by Provincial Route № 11, Presidente Illia Ave., San Juan Blvd. and Presidente Juan Domingo Perón Ave.

Patricio Seoane, President of Internet Services SA, stated: “There is no doubt that connectivity networks are now the key infrastructure for the economic, social, and human development of cities, and their inclusion in promotion regimes confirms this. Just as in the 19th century the railroad determined which towns prospered and which were left isolated, in the era of the digital economy and AI, that role is fulfilled by connectivity and digital infrastructure. Internet Services SA has a 25-year track record in the market and many experiences in which officials, regardless of political affiliation, have not understood the role that connectivity infrastructure plays in the development of their communities, in the daily lives of families, and in the opportunities for local productive sectors. We applaud the province of Entre Ríos for having committed to energizing its economy, creating competitive conditions for private investment and the establishment of new projects in strategic sectors. The new high-capacity fiber optic network that will benefit around 19,000 households in Gualeguay represents a before and after in the development of the community and will allow our customers to enjoy a better browsing experience to carry out their daily activities, whether work-related, commercial, administrative, or entertainment.”

The deployment of the new fiber optic network in the city of Gualeguay is part of the digital infrastructure expansion and development plan that Internet Services S.A. is carrying out, with next-generation FTTH and wireless networks that already cover nearly 150,000 households in 28 cities across 4 provinces.

Despite the questions raised by the economic context, Internet Services SA looks to the future with optimism, driving new investments to consolidate its leadership in the region. In this regard, the company has developed an innovative partnership model with Official Agents through which it is carrying out its expansion in different locations in Córdoba, Santa Fe, Corrientes, and Entre Ríos..
